EP REVIEW: Buried By The Sirens – Conflicts

Gruff-as-fuck, unintelligible screams? Check.

Slightly weak, vulnerable clean vocals? Check.

Intricate guitars? Check.

Chug after chug after chug? Double check.

Blackpool’s Buried By The Sirens aren’t exactly doing anything new with latest EP Conflicts but boy, are they doing it well.

Highlights include a soaring “The Messenger” and “Conflicts”; a track that gives out a good old-fashioned aural pounding in three and a half minutes of pure punishment.

Chances are you’ll have heard about this band already if you’re into metalcore. If not, I’m not sure Conflicts the required “oomph” to convert you. Nevertheless; a strong debut from the Blackpool five-piece.

Head to Bandcamp to listen to the EP in full and download free track “Conflicts”.
