The Words have decided upon an inventive way to raise funds for their second album and at the same time, donate to charity.
The band have teamed up with Pledge Music to offer fans the chance to donate money to the band’s second album budget in return for musical treats.
By donating £8 fans help fund the new record and will get a copy as soon as it is finished.
For the super fans there are also more expensive pledges which get you extra privileges. For example for £500, the band will play at your house.
Not only of course does this give you the chance to support a great Manchester band but it also raises money for the bands chosen charity.
The lads have chosen Willow Wood Hospice in Ashton where guitarist Neil’s mother volunteered until her tragic death from Cancer. Willow Wood will receive 5% of the pledges made up until they reach their self set target.
Once they hit that target Willow Wood will receive 15% of the money.
So what are you waiting for? Get to Pledge Music and help The Words create a follow up to their first album Truth & Faith, which received a positive review from Red Rose upon release.
