Reverend and The Makers free download!

Reverend and The Makers have released “Bassline” from their forthcoming third album, for free on Facebook.

The Reverend revealed he wrote the track whilst on a side project, away from the Makers and initially “thought it was too hard, too synthesiser and too noisy guitars. But as the album progressed I thought why not. It kinda fits with where the album has gone.”

To collect fans’ thoughts on the new track, they have set up a twitter page specially for people to pass judgement.

Talking of the new album, he revealed it will be called @Reverend_Makers and said “It’s a load of songs about little situations I see living in Sheffield in 2012.”

And on the name he explained “Nothing seems to sum up the present and the times we live in more than the @ symbol.”

The band recently announced a mini headline tour for May and will play:

Glasgow Oran Mor (May 4)
Manchester Academy (8)
London Scala (10)
Sheffield Leadmill (11
